Reacting to the BJP’s first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party here that the saffron party brings people who neither work nor do they visit their constituencies after the elections.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Atishi pointed out that it is a pattern with the BJP now to give tickets to people who do not work. After the five-year tenure, the party would accuse them of the same absolving itself of the blame for the nonperformance. Then they would bring in new faces.

She said now that the people of the city understand the BJP they won’t give into their tactics anymore.

On the selection of Bansuri Swaraj as the candidate for the New Delhi seat, Atishi questioned the antecedents of Swaraj who, as a lawyer, fought the case of Lalit Modi who fled the country with the country’s wealth.

Her colleague, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, said the denial of tickets to Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Verma, Meenakshi Lekhi Gautam Gambhir is BJP’s admission that the leaders failed to deliver. Since they have failed to stand up to the expectations of the people of their respective constituencies the party shied away from repeating them.

Taking exception to the candidature of Bansuri, daughter of Late Sushma Swaraj, who was a senior leader of the party, he said it proves that the BJP has no qualms about practicing dynasty politics while blaming others for the same.

The BJP announced the names of Praveen Khandelwal from as its candidate from Chandni Chowk, Kamaljeet Sehrawat from West Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj New Delhi, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri South Delhi, and Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, the sitting MP from the constituency.

Meanwhile, the AAP announced the names of Somnath Bharti as its candidate from New Delhi, Sahi Ram Pehalwan from South Delhi, and Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi.
