As part of the digital reforms related to Delhi’s government schools, an advanced web-based platform, ‘School Web App’, was unveiled on Friday by the state government, which is going to help students as well as teachers.

The “School Web App” is an advanced digital platform designed to modernise education and administrative processes in government schools, with an aim to make the education system smart, transparent, and accessible, enabling students, parents, and teachers to access all facilities on a single platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Sood also mentioned that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, this step will prove to be a major milestone towards ‘Digital India’ and ‘Viksit Bharat 2047.’

According to the minister, through this app, all important information, such as timetable, homework, notes, attendance, and results, can be accessed from home.

Notably, this will also allow parents to stay constantly connected with their child’s academic progress, thereby strengthening the communication between schools and parents, the minister said.

Senior officials from the Directorate of Education, principals of various schools, school management members, and a large number of students were present at the event.

In his address, Sood also said that this digital platform will promote a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among students, and their time will not be wasted in searching for information; instead, information will reach the students directly.

He added that in line with the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020, this application will encourage skill-based learning and integrate activities that promote sports under the ‘Fit India’ initiative.

“This app represents a model of modern India’s education system, where tradition and technology move forward together,” Sood stated.
