Sources in the Delhi Police say they have recovered obscene photos of the woman who filed an FIR against Akeel Khan, the father of the DU student who alleged she was attacked with acid on Sunday morning.
These photos were reportedly taken by Akeel Khan himself.

Police sources said they are also considering taking action against the DU student. “The entire case looks staged. She might have lied. If we find evidence, an FIR will be filed against the DU student,” a source said.
Khan was arrested on Monday night after being on the run. He was produced before the Tis Hazari Court, where the police stated they wanted to interrogate him. After hearing the prosecution’s arguments, the court remanded him in police custody for one day.
The police will question him to find out how many videos he made of the victim.
The victim, who filed the FIR against him, said that Khan was forcing her to sleep with other men.
“We don’t know about the acid attack case. They wanted me to withdraw my complaint. The acid attack case is fake,” she said.
The police are also considering taking action against the DU student who filed the acid attack case. Police sources said they have found major contradictions in her statement.
“It appears the entire acid attack case was staged. The accused were not present at the scene. We are seeking a legal opinion to decide the future course of action. If we find evidence that it was staged, action will be taken against the DU student,” a police source said.
According to a top source, technical evidence shows Jitender was far away from the crime scene. “The accused, Jitender, who works as a painter, was confirmed to be in Karol Bagh since the morning of the incident. This is supported by CDR analysis, CCTV footage, and witness statements. The motorcycle allegedly used in the attack was also located in Karol Bagh at the time,” the source said.
The 20-year-old victim, a second-year student of open school, had claimed that Jitender and two others—Ishan and Arman—attacked her with an acid-like liquid near Rani Laxmibai College in North West Delhi on Sunday morning.
However, police have found significant inconsistencies in her allegations. Sources said that the other named co-accused, Arman and Ishan, are currently in Agra with their mother, Shabnam, and are expected to join the investigation soon.
In a related development, Shabnam informed the police that she was herself an acid attack victim in 2018, allegedly at the hands of relatives of Aqeel Khan, the father of the current complainant. She also cited an ongoing property dispute with Khan over a Mangolpuri property, a case which is currently under trial.
Background and Investigation Findings:
The case was initiated after a PCR call was received from Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital regarding a female patient with acid injuries.
The victim had stated that she was on her way to Laxmi Bai College for an extra class when the three accused on a motorcycle confronted her. She alleged that Arman threw the liquid, causing burn injuries to her hands as she shielded her face.
Technical analysis of the victim’s movements has also raised questions. CCTV footage shows the victim leaving her home in Mukundpur on a scooter driven by her brother, who dropped her in the Ashok Vihar area. She was later seen travelling further in an e-rickshaw. Police sources are examining why her brother did not drop her directly at the college gate. It is also noted that the brother has since become unavailable and is not cooperating with the investigation.
