Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday cited two reasons for
the situation arising from the shortage of cooking gas in the country,
reduction in supply from Gulf countries due to the ongoing conflict in
the region and the misinformation being spread by some political
parties.
He said that the misinformation campaign has created a misgiving on
the availability of the cooking gas in the minds of some, leading to
panic booking of cylinders.

In this context, Sachdeva strongly criticized the protest march taken
out by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Trilokpuri area of East Delhi
over the alleged shortage of gas cylinders. He said the march was
proof of the petty politics of “AAP” leaders, who are doing nothing
but creating a favourable environment for black market.
The Delhi BJP chief admitted that cooking gas supply has been affected
to some extent not only in India but also in countries from Pakistan
to Bangladesh, Nepal to Sri Lanka. However, nowhere in the world are
governments facing political opposition from within their own
countries on this issue.
Just like during demonetization and the COVID period, even today the
common man trusts Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stands with him,
hence the AAP leaders will not be able to mislead them.
