The Ant-Gang Squad of the crime branch adopted a multi-layered operational strategy, including technical surveillance such as detailed analysis of Call Detail Records (CDRs) and mobile tracking, alongside field intelligence gathering in these cases.
Based on actionable inputs and credible local information, the team headed to two different remote locations in the Shravasti and Bahraich districts of Uttar Pradesh.
In the first case, a minor 16-year-old girl was reported missing in the year 2023 from Aman Vihar in Delhi. She was found in Bahraich.
The team traced the minor listed in the FIR in Bahraich, where she was found to be at the residence of her in-laws, and after a well-coordinated raid she was successfully rescued.
Legal proceedings are underway in this case, and more facts are being verified.
A reward of Rs 25,000 had been declared by the Delhi Police chief in this connection for the information leading to her recovery.
In the second matter, a 20-year-old girl, resident of Ashok Vihar, was reported missing in May 2022, and she had been rescued from Shravasti, UP.
The team initially proceeded to Shravasti and traced the missing girl. Finding her residing with her mother-in-law, they informed that she had solemnized marriage with one Kuldeep. Her identity and marital status were verified through Aadhaar card and hospital documents.
A written statement was recorded wherein she voluntarily expressed her wish to continue residing with her husband.
The third girl had gone missing last year from Goyla Dairy in South West Delhi after leaving home for tuition classes. She has now been located and rescued safely from Palam village.
Technical surveillance established her movement through Uttar Pradesh, including Lakhimpur Kheri and Muzaffarpur, finally leading to her detection in Palam Village, Delhi on July 11.
She was reunited with her family.
