Stock Market ends in the red; Sensex loses 500 points
The Indian stock market ended in the red on Tuesday, with the Nifty falling below the 23,900-mark and the Sensex dropping nearly 500 points.
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,579.05, higher by 3.55 points or 0.03 per cent from its previous close.

The key Indian equity indices opened marginally higher on Friday before trading under pressure during the intraday trade.
At 1157 hours, the Sensex was trading at 39012.67, down by 7.72 points or 0.02 per cent from the day’s opening of 39,201.67 points. So far it touched an intraday high of 39,241.61 points.

With a jump of 3.01 per cent SBI reached top of the gainer’s list followed by Tata Steel 1.72 per cent and Infosys 1.57 per cent on the third rank.

On the other hand, top three drags were, Tata Motors 1.87 per cent, HDFC 1.60 per cent and Hero Motocorp 1.21 per cent.
