East Coast Railway’s Khurda Road Division on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Canara Bank for enhanced facilities under The Salary Account Package for Railway Employees.
This initiative follows the Railway Board’s directive, aimed at improving employee welfare and financial convenience. The MoU was formally signed by Suman Chakraborty, General Manager, Canara Bank, Circle Office Bhubaneswar and Shri Pramod Behera, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Khurda Road Division. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of senior officials including P.K. Behera, ADRM (Operations); Subhra Jyoti Mandal, ADRM (Infrastructure).

From Canara Bank, the event was attended by senior executives Shri Ambika Singh, AGM/CO Bhubaneswar; SSarat Chandra Bhoi, DGM/Regional Office; T. Akila, AGM/Regional Office Cuttack; Sobhamay Haldar, RO Bhadrak; Sk. Mehboob, RO Berhampur; Smt. Rita Das, AGM/RO Bhubaneswar; Khageswar Sahu, Senior Manager, Jatni Branch; Sasmita Mohapatra, Senior Manager, CO; Suraj Kumar Datta, Manager and Adyasha Dash, Officer.

Representatives of recognized trade unions also graced the occasion: Shri S.K. Bhanj, DC/ECoRSC; Shri R.K. Das, AGS/ECoRSU; and N.K. Parida, Dy. DC/ECoRSU. The event saw enthusiastic participation from railway employees and bank officials.
The collaboration is expected to streamline financial services for staff and introduce multiple employee-friendly benefits under the Salary Account Scheme.
