Sharda University organised second National HR Seminar with Human Resource Federation of India

Sharda University, a UGC recognized university, organized a day National HR Seminar in collaboration with Human Resource Federation of India. Organized by the School of Business Studies, School of Engineering and Training and Placement departments, the main objective was to provide a platform for interaction among Human Resource leaders from industry, faculty, and students. The event aimed to explore & enhance the placement opportunity and industry projects for the students.

While welcoming the guests Mr. P. K. Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University said, “The way economy is growing, 7.4% in education sector could be leading to the “jobless growth” as compared to the earlier standard. Sharda University has started the initiative called ‘Industry Connect’ where we motivate our students to understand the economy and industry standards, we have signed over 50 MOUs on different technologies for all our schools to enhance the project based knowledge” he added. He emphasized that Sharda University looks forward to guidance and advice from the industry to make the students up to the mark.”

The event had speakers like Mr. Ronald Sequeria – ED-HR South Asia – GlaxoSmithKline India, Mr. Sandeep Tyagi – Dir. HR – SAMSUNG Electronics Ltd, Mr. Amit Malik – Chief People Officer, Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd among others.

Mr. Sumit Sen, Human Resource Federation of India (HRFI) said about the event, “This event is a unique knowledge sharing platform where industry and academics come together. Here we talk about agility, as millennials seeking jobs have higher aspirations and requirements which are quite different from what it has been, so we are trying to bridge that gap and a provide a right platform for their future.”

At the end of the event, a panel discussion on the topic “Creating an Agile Mindset for Sustained High Performance” took place.
