Pragati College of Education celebrated its foundation day at Dinabandhu Manch with the theme “Pragati Unmukh — Connected to the Roots, Moving Towards the Future.” The event was graced by chief guest Dilip Kumar Roy, chairman, Siliguri Primary School Council, and guests of honour Rajib Pramanik and Santanu Sarkar. Headmasters of leading schools also attended.
Classical dance, traditional “Mangar Kauda,” contemporary performances, and a dramatic recitation of Emily Dickinson, Sita, and Draupadi. The drama “Niyati Ki Paheli” and a digital storytelling tribute to Savitri Bai Phule drew wide applause.

A vibrant ramp walk, “A Walk from East to West,” concluded the evening, celebrating India’s cultural diversity and marking the day as a memorable milestone for the college.
