Rajdhani Express fire: Swift emergency evacuation by RPF, rail staff saves 68 passengers
A massive fire broke out in the Thiruvananthapuram Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express 12431 in the morning, causing widespread panic.
According to the Eastern Railway, the apprehended person was unable to produce any documents in support of the recovered gold ornaments.
RPF recover gold worth ₹1.37cr
Officials of RPF Post/Howrah North, Crime Prevention Detection Squad (CPDS), Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) and GRP/Howrah arrested one person with a huge quantity of gold ornaments weighing 2.680 Kilogram valued at Rs 1,37,00,000. The recovery from platform number nine was made during a thorough check over the Howrah Railway Station against transportation of illegal articles.
According to the Eastern Railway, the apprehended person was unable to produce any documents in support of the recovered gold ornaments. He was subsequently arrested with recovered articles and handed over to the GRPS/Howrah for further course of action.
