Mango Mania, a festival which was organised today at a city mall in Kasba, witnessed a mango eating competition among 20 children of an NGO working for the welfare of underprivileged children dwelling in the slum areas of Ultadanga and suburbs of Kolkata.
Actress Sonali Choudhuri inaugurated the three-day long festival in presence of Saket Mohta, managing director of Merlin Group of Companies.
The festival celebrates the delight of summer with its seasonal fruit mango.

Speaking at the event, Mr Mohta said, “We always put an effort to provide citizens of Kolkata with an innovative experience that they can cherish. We are also committed to the welfare of children in the field of education and health that is in line with our corporate philosophy. We hope the children have enjoyed the festival. “
He also handed over educational gift items to the children of the NGO.
