LIC hands over dividend cheque to central government

R Doraiswamy, CEO & MD, LIC of India, today presented the dividend cheque of Rs 7324.34 crore to Union minister of finance and corporate affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, as the central government’s share of dividend, approved by the shareholders in the annual general meeting held on 26 August.

Mr Nagaraju M, secretary, department of financial services, Dr Parshant Kumar Goyal, joint secretary, dept. of financial services, ministry of finance were present along with the officials from Life Insurance Corporation of India, Sat Pal Bhanoo, MD, Dinesh Pant, MD, Ratnakar Patnaik, MD and Shri JPS Bajaj, ZM (I/C), Northern Zone.
