ED interrogates CMRL MD in monthly pay-off case in Kerala
The case involves the firm owned by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan.
Gopal Dalapati alias Arman Ganguly trashed arrested Trinamul Youth Congress general secretary Kuntal Ghosh’s charge framing Haimanti Ganguly as the sole custodian of the alleged proceeds of the recruitment scam today.
Dalapati said, “She was in no way involved in the scam and was absolutely innocent while accusing Ghosh of taking her name as an effort to divert probe and to cover things up.
Dalapati, who was reported to have gone missing, appeared before a section of the media in New Delhi today and tried to keep things in perspective by dispelling doubts.

Dalapati, who was earlier quizzed by the ED and the CBI in connection with the recruitment scam, told news persons that he had informed the CBI on his trip to Delhi before leaving and would join the probe again in four to five days after returning to Kolkata.
He also dismissed the charge that Kuntal had slapped his estranged wife claiming she was completely innocent and was in no way involved in the alleged scam and that her name was mischievously dragged into the mix by the arrested Trinamul Youth Congress general secretary.
He also made it clear that he was married to Haimanti while they were working in the same company in 2011 but now they live separately and are in the process of getting a divorce
