The strategic partnership aims to foster mutual progress through collaborative initiatives in maritime infrastructure development, shipbuilding, and related sectors.

According to the GRSE office, the MoU outlines a framework for cooperation between GRSE and APMB to leverage each other’s strengths in enhancing maritime capabilities of setting up a Greenfield shipyard. Key areas of collaboration include the development of shipbuilding facilities, modernisation of existing infrastructure, and joint ventures in constructing advanced vessels tailored to the needs of both defence and commercial sectors.
