The Zilla Parishad Chairperson Anita Rani Behera has levelled serious charges against the Project Director, DRDA, Chanchal Rana.
Talking to media persons here at the BJP party office, the chairperson flanked by district BJP president R Venkat Ramana, a few local leaders and ZP Member Bimala Dalai questioned the activities of the PD, DRDA who has been bypassing the chairperson and taking unilateral decisions.
Anita Rani Behera has alleged that the PD has used DRDA funds without her consent and has spent more than Rs 50 lakh for the repair and renovation of his residential quarters.

“It is mandatory for the PD DRDA to take my permission before finalising his tour diary, but he is not doing that . Money was spent from the exchequer through DRDA and I was unaware of it.” alleged the ZP Chairperson.
She also alleged that corruption is still continuing. The PD DRDA Chanchal Rana who was at Mohona Block on tour, when asked about the issue, said that as he whateve his job required him to do and there was implementation of the government schemes as per the norms. Regarding the allegations levelled against him, which included some related financial misappropriation, he said that he dared the persons accusing him to order a probe.
