Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, MP and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), conducted an inspection tour of key locations within the Sealdah division of Eastern Railway.
Accompanied by Milind K Deouskar, general manager of Eastern Railway, he visited Nashipur railway bridge, Cossimbazar, Berhampore Court, and Beldanga Station. Mr Chowdhury, along with the GM ER inspected the Nashipur railway bridge over river Bhagirathi. They also conducted a comprehensive window trailing inspection from Beldanga to Murshidabad station, focusing on track fittings and overhead equipment (OHE).
During his visit, Mr Chowdhury inspected level crossing gate number 111/E and suggested the installation of a road over bridge (ROB) in its place. He also held a meeting with the GM ER giving suggestions for development of the railway infrastructure, passenger safety and security and passengers’ amenities.
