AINU Siliguri launches north bengal’s first robotic surgery programme

The Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) Hospital in Siliguri has launched north Bengal’s first advanced Robotic Surgery Programme for urology and nephrology, offering patients access to minimally invasive, precision-based treatment closer to home.

With the introduction of robotic technology, patients from north Bengal, the northeast and neighbouring regions will no longer need to travel to metropolitan cities for complex kidney and urological procedures. The programme will cover surgeries such as prostate cancer surgery, partial and radical nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral reconstruction, bladder surgeries and selected paediatric urology cases.
