IND vs ZIM 2nd T20I: Zimbabwe won the toss, opts to field against India
Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first against India in the 2nd T20I. The hosts will look to level the series after India's dominant win in the opening match.
India continued their dominant run in Zimbabwe with a comprehensive 90-run victory in the second T20I at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday, sealing the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.
After being put in to bat, India posted a formidable 219/5, thanks to superb half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma, before producing another disciplined bowling performance to dismiss Zimbabwe for 129 in 17.5 overs.

India suffered an early setback when Abhishek Sharma fell for eight, but Vaibhav Sooryavanshi maintained the attacking intent with a brisk 20 off just nine balls, striking a six and three boundaries.

Richard Ngarava ended Sooryavanshi’s cameo, while skipper Shreyas Iyer added a steady 25 before departing at the halfway stage of the innings. From there, Kishan took complete control.
The wicketkeeper-batter mixed composure with aggression to hammer 81 off 44 balls, including nine fours and two sixes. At the other end, Tilak Varma played the perfect finishing role, remaining unbeaten on 60 from just 29 deliveries as the pair added 94 runs for the fourth wicket. Late cameos from Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube helped India cross the 200-run mark comfortably.
Zimbabwe’s bowlers found little respite, with Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Brian Bennett, Newman Nyamhuri and Brad Evans picking up one wicket apiece.
Abhishek Sharma, Yash Thakur lead India’s clinical bowling display
Chasing a daunting target of 220, Zimbabwe began positively through Brian Bennett, who struck an entertaining 32 off 19 balls. However, India’s bowlers quickly tightened the screws.
Prince Yadav struck twice by removing Ben Curran and captain Sikandar Raza, while debutant Yash Thakur impressed with two wickets to derail Zimbabwe’s middle order. Ravi Bishnoi maintained control during the middle overs, giving the hosts little opportunity to rebuild.
The standout performer with the ball was Abhishek Sharma, whose left-arm spin ripped through the lower order as he returned figures of 3/17. Prince Yadav, Yash Thakur and Tilak Varma chipped in with crucial wickets as Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 129.
India seal series with a game to spare
With victories in the opening two matches, India have now secured the three-match T20I series 2-0 with one game remaining. The final T20I will be played in Harare on Sunday, where Shreyas Iyer’s side will look to complete a series sweep, while Zimbabwe will be aiming to end the tour with a consolation victory.
