Local sources have claimed that these cards were supposed to have reached their recipients before the assembly elections, raising questions about how come the cards have come in bulk, who received them, and why they were not handed over to the voters before the polls.
According to local sources, the voter cards were accidentaly spotted by members of the club. When the recipient names came to light, they were informed and subsequnelty handed over.
The distressed voters who had to wait for their cards claimed they were forced to contact various offices repeatedly and had to get their e-voter cards printed before the assembly polls.
It has now been revealed that their original voter cards had already been dispatched some time back but were never delivered, raising questions about the postal department’s efficiency. Local have demanded an investigation into the incident.
