The Bharatiya Janata Party has lodged a complaint at Baruipur police station in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district against four CPI(M) leaders, including the party’s central committee leader Sujan Chakraborty, in connection with the political fallout over the alleged rape and murder of a Class V student in the city.

In its complaint, the saffron party has accused the leaders of criminal conspiracy, making provocative statements on social media and in public, spreading misinformation, inciting unrest, and attempting to trigger violence.
