A woman gave birth to four babies inside an autorickshaw while being taken to the hospital in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Unfortunately, all the babies died shortly after birth.

The woman’s husband said that their four babies could have survived if authorities had made an ambulance available on time.
District Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr DJ Mohanty said Rajni was brought to the government health centre in Ghuthas by a private vehicle as she experienced labour pain in the seventh month of her pregnancy, PTI reported.
Since her condition was critical, the family transferred her to the community health centre in Bichhiya in an autorickshaw, the official added.
Before reaching there, the woman is said to have given birth to four children in a private vehicle.
“All four babies — three girls and a boy — died because they were premature and weighed around 1.5 kilograms each,” Mohanty said.
Meanwhile, the official shared that the woman was admitted to the Bichhiya Community Health Centre and is currently out of danger.
On the other hand, the family members of Rajni have claimed that after she went into labour they called the emergency ambulance service. As they received no response, they took her to the hospital in an autorickshaw.
Ganesh Singaram, husband of Rajni, claimed that their children could have been saved if an ambulance was made available on time.
