Punjabi singer Garry Sandhu has expressed disappointment after claiming that his upcoming album ‘DND’ was leaked online before its official release, forcing him to reveal details of the unfinished project and even sing an unreleased track for his fans.

Sharing an emotional video on social media, Sandhu said the leak occurred when the album was still in production. According to the singer, ‘DND’ was never meant to be released as just an EP, as he had been working on a full-fledged album with several more songs that were still in progress.

Visibly upset in the video, Sandhu alleged that someone had intentionally leaked the project, spoiling months of hard work. “Someone has ruined all my effort,” he said, adding that the album still had three to four songs left before it could be considered complete.

Explaining the meaning behind the title, the singer said ‘DND’ could stand for either “Doaba Never Die” or “Do Not Disturb”, leaving the interpretation to listeners while hinting that the project reflected his musical roots as well as his creative vision.

Despite expressing frustration over the leak, Sandhu surprised fans by performing a portion of an unreleased song that was originally planned for the album. Introducing the track, he said it deserved to be heard even though the project had suffered an unexpected setback. The performance, featuring lyrics inspired by Sikh heritage and spirituality, quickly gained traction across social media.

Fans flooded the comments section with messages of support, urging the singer to continue with the album’s official release despite the leak. Many also criticised music piracy, saying artists’ creative work should be respected.

Garry Sandhu has remained one of Punjabi music’s most talked-about artists, both for his chart-topping songs and the controversies surrounding his career. He earlier faced legal issues in the United Kingdom over alleged immigration violations before later returning after completing the legal process.

In November 2024, the singer also made headlines after an individual allegedly climbed onto the stage during his concert in New South Wales, Australia, leading to a brief disruption before security personnel intervened.

More recently, in 2025, Sandhu faced criticism from some organisations over his rendition of a popular Hindu devotional song during an event in California, with protesters alleging that altering its lyrics had hurt religious sentiments.
