A fire broke out at a residential tower in Noida’s Sector 119 on Monday, triggering a major emergency response as firefighters battled the blaze from the upper floors of the building. Officials said no casualties had been reported at the time of filing, while rescue and firefighting operations remained underway.
The fire erupted in a flat at the Aranya Society, located under the jurisdiction of the Sector-113 Police Station. Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the site to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading through the high-rise.

Officials said six fire service vehicles were deployed after the incident was reported. Fire personnel launched an extensive operation to control the blaze and secure the affected section of the building.
Initial information suggested the fire may have started after an explosion in an air-conditioner unit. However, officials said the exact cause would be established only after a detailed investigation.
Searches were conducted on the affected floor, and preliminary assessments indicated that no residents were trapped inside the building.
CM Yogi Adityanath directs officials to speed up rescue
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and instructed officials to reach the spot without delay.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the Chief Minister directed authorities to expedite relief and rescue operations, ensure proper medical treatment for anyone injured, and maintain vigilance until the situation was fully brought under control.
He also instructed officials to continuously monitor the rescue effort and make all necessary medical arrangements.
Recent fire incidents
The Noida blaze comes after other recent fire incidents in residential buildings. Earlier this month, fires were reported from residential complexes in Sectors 74 and 52 of Noida.
Separately, a fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in Delhi’s Keshav Puram on Monday morning. Fire department personnel rescued three people, including two women and a man, from the terrace. Officials said all three were brought to safety without injuries.
