Six years ago, he was a teenager finishing his A-levels while a Netflix film he had shot turned him into an international name. Now, at 23, Louis Partridge is being talked about as a possible James Bond. He says he did not see that coming either.
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet at the world premiere of Enola Holmes 3 in New York on June 25, Partridge was asked whether he had ever pictured himself as 007. His answer was direct. “No, no. Not yet at least. But that’s something to keep in mind. I wonder what Variety thinks?” he said.

He also addressed the general experience of navigating fame since his Enola Holmes debut. “The social media stuff can get a bit noisy sometimes, but it’s important to have good people around you,” he said. He added that figuring out what matters beyond looking at a phone is surprisingly difficult to do in 2026.
Where the James Bond talk comes from
In April 2026, Variety’s London Bureau Chief Alex Ritman reported that Partridge is one of several actors in contention for the Bond role, placing him in line with industry chatter that Amazon MGM Studios is searching for a fresh-faced British 007.
At 23, Partridge would be notably younger than the other rumoured contenders: Jacob Elordi at 28, Harris Dickinson at 29, Aaron Taylor-Johnson at 35, and Callum Turner at 36. He would also be younger than past Bonds at the time they first took on the role: Daniel Craig was 38, Sean Connery was 32, Pierce Brosnan was 42, and Roger Moore was 45.
A younger Bond would offer long-term upside, with Partridge potentially anchoring five or six films over 15 years while still being under 40. That, along with a lower asking price compared to bigger names, makes him attractive to Amazon executives if they are targeting early-20s talent. No casting announcement is out.
Who is Louis Partridge?
Louis Partridge was born on June 3, 2003, in Wandsworth, London. He began his career as a child actor with minor roles in Pan in 2015 and Paddington 2 in 2017. His breakthrough came with the Netflix mystery film Enola Holmes in 2020 and its 2022 sequel.
He has since played Sid Vicious in the FX miniseries Pistol in 2022, starred in Alfonso Cuaron’s thriller series Disclaimer in 2024, and appeared in the historical drama House of Guinness in 2025.
Outside of acting, Partridge has been a global ambassador for Prada, with his profile growing considerably following Enola Holmes and further after his high-profile relationship with Olivia Rodrigo, which lasted from late 2023 until reports of their split surfaced in December 2025.
