Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at the Tight Ends and Friends concert in Nashville on Tuesday night, closing out the show with a performance of ‘Love Story’ alongside country star Lainey Wilson. The concert was part of Tight End University, the annual offseason NFL summit co-founded by Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and retired player Greg Olsen in 2021.
Toward the end of Lainey Wilson’s set during the Tight Ends and Friends show, the country star told the crowd, “I don’t think y’all are ready for what’s about to happen.” Wilson recalled first seeing this “really, really special” artist perform at the age of 16, and said it had been “so cool” to see what she has accomplished since then. “She is just as kind as she is talented. Y’all, welcome to the stage my friend Taylor Swift,” Wilson said, prompting the audience to erupt in screams.

Swift took the stage in an asymmetrical black dress with a ruffled silver hem and asked the band, “Do you wanna do ‘Love Story’?”

Swift said the song request came from a “very special tight end” and that “tight end is named George Kittle.”
Swift sang the first verse, Wilson took the second, and they belted out the chorus together.
When it came to the track’s iconic bridge, Swift made sure to flash her engagement ring from Kelce when she got to the lyric, “He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring.” The crowd went berserk, and some audience members even cried.
The engagement ring moment landed with particular weight given what has been reported about an upcoming wedding. Kelce and Swift are gearing up for their New York City wedding next month, with reports suggesting the couple will wed at Madison Square Garden.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kittle told People about Swift’s appearance: “She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding. So we’re just so thankful that they’re here.”
