A blind man holds a blade, and the streets that broke him now tremble at his name. He speaks for every forgotten soul pushed to the margins, every wound left to rot in silence.
The teaser of ‘SlumDog: 33 Temple Road’, directed by Puri Jagannadh and starring Vijay Sethupathi, dropped on June 8, 2026, at 6 PM.
The 75-second teaser introduces Sethupathi as a blind beggar whose life is shaped by pain, humiliation and a deep desire for revenge. With a chilling voiceover, he speaks on behalf of homeless people and street dwellers pushed to the margins of society. His warning to those who exploit the vulnerable sets the tone for a film built around rage, resistance and retribution.

The poster released a few days before the teaser showed Sethupathi from behind, with his arm raised, gripping a long blade. The blade is smeared with blood. He is dressed in rugged, worn clothing in warm orange-brown tones, hinting at a street-level setting.
Vijay Sethupathi dubs in three languages
Director Puri Jagannadh announced on June 6, 2026, via his X account that Vijay Sethupathi had completed dubbing for the teaser himself in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. This is notable because most actors in pan-India productions dub only in their primary language and leave the rest to voice artists.
Sethupathi’s involvement across three languages is intended to strengthen the film’s reach with audiences across the country.
