The release date saw multiple shifts during production. The makers were first planning an April release, but the film is now hitting theatres on June 4.
The film is distributed by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Jio Studios in North India.
OTT platform: Netflix
Netflix officially announced that ‘Peddi’ will stream on its platform following its theatrical run. The streaming giant shared the news on X, stating: “‘Peddi’ is not just the story of a sportsman, but of those left behind.”
The film will stream after its theatrical run in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi audio versions.
Netflix has acquired the OTT streaming rights for Rs 105 crore. The deal covers all languages, as ‘Peddi’ is a pan-Indian film.
Netflix reportedly played role in finalising the film’s release date.

The exact date for the film’s arrival on streaming is not yet out.
It is likely to start streaming by the end of July or in the first week of August. This is an estimate, not official announcement.
Big theatrical films like this often have waiting period of several weeks between cinema release and OTT premiere. If ‘Peddi’ follows usual pattern, it could land on Netflix around 6 to 10 weeks after its big screen run.

Production details
The film was launched under the working title RC16 on 20 March 2024 by Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad. Filming took place in Hyderabad, Colombo, Kanyakumari, and Pune until November 2025.
In April 2026, a special song featuring Shruti Haasan was filmed in Hyderabad. Principal photography wrapped by the end of April 2026.
The technical team includes editor Navin Nooli, production designer Avinash Kolla, and choreographer Bosco Martis.
Music and soundtrack
The first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” released on November 7, 2025. It was composed by AR Rahman, with lyrics by Balaji, and sung by Mohit Chauhan. It released through T-Series.
