In a heart-warming scene at West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s ‘Janata Darbar’ at the BJP office in Salt Lake, Kolkata, a woman carried her husband on her back to seek help and raise their grievance.
The woman arrived at the ‘Janata Darbar’ with her differently-abled husband on her back. She was allowed to meet the chief minister after due verification of their identities.

The chief minister patiently heard their issues and assured swift resolution within a week.
During the meeting, the man, identified as Sanyasi Mandal, told the CM that he needed an electric cycle and a house. He also claimed that his wife was deprived of the benefits of the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme.
“I have come from the Sundarbans. I am helpless and in need of an electric vehicle. She (his wife) did not receive any benefits from Lakshmir Bhandar, and as a person with a disability, I went up to the stage to request a house of my own,” he said, adding that the CM assured them that their problems would be resolved within seven days.
