Soon after reaching the Wild Rose Resort in Pushkar, the venue of the 10-day brainstorming camp, he participated in deliberations on key issues, including expanding and strengthening the party’s support base and devising a winning electoral strategy.
Gandhi advised party functionaries and office-bearers to maintain constant engagement with grassroots workers. He urged party leaders to establish direct contact and rapport with the people.
Speaking at the Kishangarh airstrip, Rahul Gandhi said, “There is good understanding and coordination between the state Congress president and the CLP leader. This can serve as an example for other states.”
Prominent leaders attending the camp included former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, AICC General Secretary and former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, along with presidents and office-bearers from 50 organisational districts of Rajasthan and 15 organisational districts of Delhi. Participants attended the camp with their families.
Gandhi also interacted warmly with family members of party leaders and workers. Several senior Congress veterans were seen sharing their experiences and memories associated with the party dating back to the 1950s. The Leader of Opposition also joined participants for group photographs and selfies.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was also scheduled to visit the camp; however, his visit was later postponed due to unavoidable reasons.
