Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting star Virat Kohli set social media ablaze after sharing an emotional post following his team’s historic second consecutive Indian Premier League title win.
RCB clinched their back-to-back IPL crowns after defeating Gujarat Titans in a tense final in Ahmedabad, with Kohli once again playing a defining role at the top of the order. The veteran batter remained central to the chase, anchoring the innings with a composed and match-winning unbeaten 75.

Following the victory, Kohli took to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), where his message celebrating RCB’s achievement quickly went viral among fans and cricket followers worldwide.
“We asked ourselves a question last year — can we go back to back? Here we are again,” Kohli wrote.
The post was widely shared across social media, drawing millions of likes and a flood of comments as fans celebrated RCB’s historic title win and Kohli’s match-winning contribution.
Adding to the global reaction, England football star Harry Kane also praised Kohli’s performance on Instagram.
“What a player and what a knock @virat.Kohli. Congrats @royalchallengers.bengaluru on making it back-to-back IPL titles,” Kane wrote in an Instagram story.
Kohli finished the tournament as one of the standout performers, ending as the fourth-highest run-scorer with 675 runs in 16 innings at an average of 56.25 and a strike rate of 165.84. His season included a century and five half-centuries, with a best score of 105 not out.

In the final, Gujarat Titans posted 155/8, with Washington Sundar top-scoring with an unbeaten 50. RCB’s bowlers, led by Rasikh Dar Salam, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, kept the opposition under control with disciplined spells.
In response, RCB had a solid start through a 62-run stand between Venkatesh Iyer and Kohli. Despite a brief middle-order wobble, Kohli held firm and guided the chase, finishing the match with two overs to spare as RCB sealed another historic IPL title.
The victory places RCB among the elite IPL clubs to have won back-to-back championships, marking one of the most successful phases in the franchise’s history.
