After major success in the 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has now mobilised its cadre for the third term of Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was in Lucknow for the past three days to spruce up the effort for the third term of the BJP government by spreading the ideology of Hindutava and nationalism. However, this time the RSS chief did not meet any BJP leaders.

This was the second visit of the RSS chief to Lucknow in recent months. He last visited the state in February.
Bhagwat, during his stay, while addressing a Sangh workers meeting said, “Hindutva and nationalism must be promoted by eliminating caste distinctions in society. We must ensure that all castes are respected and are not discriminated against at any level.”
During his three-day stay at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Nirala Nagar, Bhagwat taught trainee volunteers how to cultivate discipline in life and enhance the Sangh’s work. He interacted with the 289 volunteers participating in the training class.
Under the Kutumb Prabodhan (family enlightenment) campaign, the Sangh chief emphasised the need to halt the growing trend of nuclear families and strengthen the traditional joint family system and family values. He said, “Contact families and instill good values in children, and also educate them on Sanatan Dharma.”
Emphasising environmental protection, he said, “Climate change is underway, and extreme temperatures are rising. The only way to prevent these problems is to protect the environment and plant more trees.”
He said, “Along with rights, it is also necessary to make people aware of their duties. Every person should fulfill his duties towards the nation and society.”
In the intellectual session, he addressed the volunteers’ queries. He also emphasised the importance of reaching out to as many people as possible and spreading the Sangh’s ideology to them. He said that if someone wants to join the Sangh, they should do so according to their convenience and the Sangh’s plans.
According to sources, during the RSS chief’s visit, issues of rising inflation, rising petrol and diesel prices, and the global recession were also discussed. RSS volunteers will inform the public that the Iran-US war is a global problem, while its impact in India is less than in other countries. During this time of inflation and recession, people should follow government-issued guidelines.
According to sources, the RSS chief, in his interaction with RSS officials from the eastern region, also discussed coordination between the government, the RSS, and the BJP. They were briefed on the decisions taken at the recent coordination meeting and their implementation.
