Allahabad HC grants conditional bail to Bareilly violence accused
The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday granted conditional anticipatory bail to Altamas Khan, an accused in the September 2025 violence and protests in Bareilly.
The Allahabad High Court has reserved its decision on 58 petitions, including the bail plea of Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, the alleged mastermind behind the September 26, 2025, Bareilly violence.
A single bench of Justice Ashutosh Srivastava reserved the order on Tuesday after the hearing concluded.

Maulana Tauqeer Raza and other accused had moved the Allahabad High Court seeking bail after the lower court rejected their pleas. The High Court clubbed all 58 petitions to hear them together.

The police had registered nearly 10 FIRs in various police stations in this case.
The police had identified Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan as the mastermind behind the violence.
