BJP to showcase ideology, governance and organisational structure
The “KNOW BJP” initiative was launched in 2023 by former BJP President JP Nadda on the party’s 43rd foundation day. The programme was designed to familiarise diplomats and foreign representatives with the BJP’s ideological roots, political evolution, organisational model and governance approach.
Party leaders said the initiative aims to provide a detailed understanding of the BJP’s historical journey, internal structure and policy priorities while also highlighting its governance experience and outreach programmes.
The interaction on Tuesday assumes significance as it will be Nitin Nabin’s first diplomatic engagement after becoming BJP National President.
Nitin Nabin stresses nationalism and ideological commitment
Days before the diplomatic interaction, Nitin Nabin addressed party workers in Bihar, where he called the BJP’s rise as a movement driven by nationalism, organisational discipline and public service rather than merely electoral expansion.
Speaking on the BJP’s ideological evolution, he said the party’s foundations were shaped by the nationalist vision of Syama Prasad Mookerjee and the philosophy of Integral Humanism advanced by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Nitin Nabin said the BJP’s primary commitment was not power alone, but ensuring that development and dignity reached the last person in society while keeping national interest above everything else.
BJP chief highlights cadre strength and governance focus
Referring to the party’s organisational growth, Nitin Nabin said the BJP’s transformation from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founded in 1951 into what he described as the world’s largest political organisation was built on the dedication and sacrifices of its workers.
He said BJP Karyakartas remained committed to ideology despite limited resources and political challenges during the party’s early years.
Calling the cadre the party’s greatest strength, Nitin Nabin said even booth-level Karyakartas form the backbone of the BJP’s structure and distinguish the organisation from other political parties.
He also highlighted welfare schemes, women’s empowerment, youth opportunities, infrastructure expansion, digital transformation and India’s growing global profile as key focus areas under BJP-led governments.
The BJP National President further urged party workers to treat organisational training programmes not merely as information sessions, but as opportunities to strengthen ideological clarity, organisational capacity and commitment towards national service.
