Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, began a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency on Tuesday with a visit to the Churuva temple on Bade Mangal to worship Bajrangbali.

Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, began a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency on Tuesday with a visit to the Churuva temple on Bade Mangal to worship Bajrangbali. The priest garlanded him and offered him prasad.
The Congress leader also interacted with the devotees present at the temple. After the darshan, he proceeded to Bachhrawan, where he will inaugurate a marriage hall and address a public meeting in Kheer. He will also participate in a women’s dialogue program in Lalganj.

Tomorrow, on May 20, he will meet people at the Bhue Mau guest house innthe morning and then will unveil the statue of freedom fighter Veera Pasi. After the public meeting, he will depart for Amethi.

Earlier, Rahul arrived at Lucknow airport from Delhi at 11:30 am to a warm welcome from UP Congress President Ajay Rai and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari. Hundreds of Congress workers and supporters throngred the airport carrying banners and posters.
Since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this was the 7th visit of Rahul Gandhi to Rae Bareli.Previously, he visited Rae Bareli on January 19, 2026.
