Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highly praised Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for his zeal, dedication, and tireless efforts toward the state’s rapid development, predicting he will be a successful CM in times to come.
Addressing a public meeting in Jodhpur after unveiling the statue of former Vice President late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Thursday afternoon, Singh said, “I have observed the Chief Minister’s functioning since his election as leader of the BJP legislature party. I attended the maiden meeting as a central observer in December 2023. However, the party’s newly-elected MLAs summarily elected him as the leader leaving the observer no choice but to declare him elected.”

“I do feel that he has been resolutely working on Antyodaya, the yojana envisioned and launched by the late VP Shekhawat Sa’ab half a century ago. He added, “I am sure that he would succeed in realising Shekhawat’s dreams about the welfare of the most deprived stratum of society.”

“About Sharma’s work during the past two years, I can confidently say that under his leadership, Rajasthan has been marching on the path of progress scaling all parameters of development,” Singh said.
The Chief Minister himself and through the BJP cadres and government paraphernalia reaching out to people down to the village Chaupals, interacting with people at grass root levels.
His government’s initiatives and governance have brought changes to the lives of the deprived ones, particularly in the rural households. Good work has been witnessed in different walks of life, including drinking water, health services, education and industrialisation – investment. In the water supply sector, around 50 lakh rural households have received tap water connections, Singh said, adding that such work brings real transformation to the lives of rural residents.
He further said, “A two-year period is too short for claiming the charismatic transformation of any state; that cannot even be expected. However, seeing his working style, willpower, and tireless efforts I can confidently say that Chief Minister Sharma will long be remembered as the state’s ‘Popular and Successful Chief Minister.’
