Dimple Yadav stayed at the house for some time before leaving, while a steady stream of mourners continued to arrive to pay tribute.

Earlier in the day, after the postmortem examination at King George’s Medical University, Prateek Yadav’s body was brought to his residence.

His last rites will be performed at Pipra Ghat on Thursday at 12:30 pm, and preparations for the cremation have already begun.

According to the postmortem report, the cause of death was “cardiorespiratory collapse due to massive pulmonary thromboembolism.”

The report further stated that the entire heart and pulmonary thromboembolic material had been preserved in formalin for histopathological examination, while viscera samples had been preserved for chemical analysis.

The report also noted that all injuries found on the body were “antemortem,” meaning they occurred before death.

Civil Hospital Chief Medical Superintendent Dr DC Pandey said that when Prateek was brought to the hospital around 6 am, his pulse was extremely weak and his heart had stopped beating. He was brought to the hospital by Aman Singh Bisht, brother of his wife Aparna Yadav.

No visible signs of injury were found on the body. However, the death is being treated as suspicious, and viscera samples have been preserved for further examination. The exact cause of death is expected to become clearer after the viscera report is received.

Aparna Yadav had been in Assam on Tuesday to attend a Chief Minister’s swearing-in ceremony. After receiving news of her husband’s death, she immediately returned to Lucknow and went directly home from the airport.

Expressing grief, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Prateek is no longer with us today. We are deeply saddened. He was young, health-conscious since childhood, and wanted to achieve something through hard work. We met him two months ago. We will do whatever the family decides.”

Prateek Yadav, 38, was associated with the real estate and fitness sectors. He operated ‘The Fitness Planet’ gym and ‘Jeev Ashray’ in Lucknow.
