The trailer shows him as a force who refuses to let the case remain buried.

Ajith Kumar's mother Mohini Mani died on May 30, 2026, in Chennai. She was 89. Tamil Nadu CM Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan visited Ajith's residence the same evening to pay their respects.
'Karuppu' was never meant to be Suriya's film. Director RJ Balaji first narrated the script to Thalapathy Vijay, hoping it would be his farewell to cinema. Vijay said no, and then became Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The 'Singam' era made him a sure thing. 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim' rebuilt his reputation on OTT. But somewhere between those peaks and the multiplex, Suriya spent three years and three films trying to prove the theatrical audience still showed up for him.
