The Springdales School Dhaula Kuan on Tuesday organized an inter-house festival of dance and culture, “A Springdalian Soiree,” presided over by renowned Kathak Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The cultural presentations by the eight houses of the school celebrated global heritage, blending Indian and international dance forms.
From the spirited rhythms of Bihu to the graceful movements of Manipuri, the lively energy of Bulgarian dance and the charm of Israeli wedding traditions, each performance added vibrance to the unique festival.

While the powerful Chhau dance depicted bravery and courage of the natives, the talented dancers of the school spread flavours of Spanish culture through their energetic presentation.
The African dance was a tribute to the beauty and diversity of the Rainbow nation, and the serene elegance of Bengali Shantiniketan-style dance made the festival a truly captivating journey across cultures.
Congratulating the efforts of the dancers, with their performances full of enthusiasm, colour and heart, Dr. Narayan complimented the institution for placing equal emphasis on academics, and co-curricular activities that go together to shape students into concerned and sensitive human beings.
She expressed hope that the Springdalians will leave a meaningful mark and contribute to make the world a better place.
Earlier, in her welcome message to the guests, Dr. Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales Schools highlighted that the dance festival was a journey of artistic expression through vibrant cultures and rhythms from within the country and abroad.
She added, “Springdales reveres artistes of the performing Arts and we are proud of our heritage and achievements in this field.”
Meanwhile, the Endeavour House was awarded the First Prize, while Freedom House and Peace House secured the Second and Third Positions, respectively.
The award for best soloist was presented to Mehak Das, while Paavni Tandon was recognized as the second best solo performer.
