Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the people of West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry for what he termed a decisive mandate in favour of the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He said the results underscored public faith in governance and development-oriented politics. Sai attributed the outcome to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the mandate reflected trust in his vision of a Viksit Bharat.
He also described the results as a rejection of what he called politics driven by appeasement, corruption and fear, and said the outcome signalled a clear preference for stability and governance. Referring to West Bengal, he said the party’s performance was the result of sustained efforts by its workers over the years.
State BJP president Kiran Deo called the results historic, especially in West Bengal, where he said the outcome marked a new phase in the state’s political landscape. He linked the victory to the legacy of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, describing it as a tribute to his vision. Deo also said the results in Assam, where the BJP has secured a third consecutive term, reflected the electorate’s continued support for development in the Northeast. He described the performance in Puducherry as a sign of growing acceptance of the party’s governance model.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said the results pointed to strong public backing for the leadership at the Centre. He noted that the outcome in West Bengal indicated a shift in voter sentiment, while the results in Assam reinforced political stability in the region.
Deputy Chief Minister and home minister Vijay Sharma, said the results would energise party workers across the country, including in Chhattisgarh. He described the outcome as evidence of the BJP expanding beyond its traditional base and gaining ground in eastern and southern parts of the country. He added that the results were likely to have a wider impact on the national political landscape.
