A light moment mixed with election buzz unfolded as social media influencer and mimicry artist Ratan Ranjan turned up in a surprising costume act drawing attention outside the BJP headquarters.
Ratan, known online for his mimicry performances, arrived dressed as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He carried a plate of jhalmuri and performed a satirical act while standing near the BJP headquarters.

Speaking in a style imitating Mamata Banerjee, he said in a playful tone that “the game in Bengal is over” and suggested that voters in the state had expressed a change in preference this time.
In his performance, he mentioned names of national leaders, saying people were looking towards “Amit Dada and Modi Dada,” while also referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bengal and his tasting of jhalmuri during the campaign trail.
Continuing the mimicry, he acted out a dramatic version of losing a political position, saying he had “lost the chair” but would not leave it easily. He added humorous lines about holding on to power, even suggesting he would not give up the chair despite the outcome.
Counting trends show BJP ahead
At the time of the performance, counting of votes was ongoing across 284 out of 294 assembly constituencies.
According to the latest available trends, party-wise position showed BJP leading with 186 seats. All India Trinamool Congress (AITC/TMC) was ahead in 93 seats.
Other parties were also part of the count. AJUP is leading in 2 seats, AISF in 2 seats, and CPI(M) in 1 seat.
