West Bengal Assembly Election Results 2026: CCTV cameras installed at counting centres malfunctioned at several counting centres in West Bengal on Monday, with the Election Commission of India swiftly addressing the issue.
Speaking about the complaints raised by different political parties during the counting process, Gupta said that all of them have been addressed.

“Only a handful of CCTV cameras briefly malfunctioned for between five and ten minutes due to technical issues. All complaints have been addressed,” Gupta said.
He further added that no victory rallies will be allowed in the state after the results are announced.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has retained 200 companies of central forces in Bengal that will be deployed in the state even after the results are announced.
Meanwhile, the BJP has taken a decisive lead in Bengal. According to early trends, the saffron party is ahead in 117 seats. The ruling TMC was ahead in 103. The Congress and others were ahead in one seat each.
