In a major development, bodies of a five-year-old boy and his uncle were recovered from Bargi Dam in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, May 3. After this, the toll in the cruise boat tragedy has jumped to 13, police said.
The boat, which capsized during a storm on Thursday evening, was nearly two decades old and operated by the state tourism department.

“The bodies of Mayuram, 5, and his uncle Kamraj (around 50), an employee of the Ordnance Factory in Khamaria, were found floating and were fished out of the dam,” PTI quoted Bargi Sub Divisional Officer of Police Anjul Ayank Mishra as saying.

Mishra said that all 13 missing persons identified have been accounted for and added that the bodies have been sent for portmortem.
During the major search operation, several teams comprising nearly 20 Army divers airlifted from Agra as well as personnel from the National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force and local divers, remained involved over the past few days.
According to police, 28 of the 41 identified passengers on board the vessel, were were rescued after the incident.
In the CCTV footage near the boarding point, 43 people could be been heading towards the boat. However, identities of 41 passengers have been confirmed so far.
Ordering an investigation into the incident, the state government on Friday informed that three crew members have been dismissed, while it has also banned the operation of similar vessels in the state.
