The New Delhi District Police, entrusted with safeguarding vital installations and maintaining public order in one of the most sensitive zones of the national capital, has intensified security measures.

According to DCP New Delhi Sachin Sharma, the structured training modules were organised to enhance operational skills, crisis response, and crowd management capabilities of police personnel. Training programmes were conducted at police stations across the New Delhi District.

Between April 24 and 29, a crowd management enhancement programme was conducted at the auditorium of the Barakhamba Road Police Station under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (NDD) Anand Kumar Mishra.
In addition, a specialised module on street-style close-quarter combat and self-defence techniques, including Krav Maga, was conducted at Parliament Street Police Station from April 29 to 1 May under the guidance of SSP/NHRC and the supervision of Additional DCP- I, New Delhi.
Notably, both specialised trainings were attended by 509 personnel from various police stations and operational formations across the New Delhi district.
The additional training was designed to enhance field effectiveness and readiness across diverse policing scenarios and included a musketry session on firearm handling, safety protocols, and accuracy.
The Rapid Action Force (RAF) also conducted a session focused on swift mobilisation, coordinated emergency response, and tactical decision-making, which was supervised by ACP Chanakyapuri Arti Sharma.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a session on efficient picketing and access control, covering standard operating procedures for frisking, vehicle checking, and access control at sensitive installations.
The initiatives underscore the commitment of the New Delhi District Police to capacity building, modernisation, and professional excellence, ensuring a swift, effective, and lawful response to emerging security challenges in the national capital.
