Jeet Adani stated that the Adani Group’s focus is on setting up the foundational infrastructure that supports AI growth, adding that affordable as well as scalable energy will be critical to making AI accessible and drive its widespread adoption.

Positioning Visakhapatnam as a future AI hub, Jeet Adani compared its potential to Bengaluru’s role in India’s infotech revolution.

The project includes a large AI datacenter campus being built in partnership with Google Cloud and AdaniConneX at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to be one of the largest outside the United States supporting global-scale digital services.

Jeet Adani said that while India currently has around 1.3 GW of datacenter capacity, the planned campus in Visakhapatnam alone could approach 1 GW—underscoring the scale of expansion.

The initiative is also expected to boost India’s digital economy by reducing the cost of computing and making AI more accessible. As intelligence becomes more affordable, it could accelerate innovation and drive inclusive economic growth, he stated.
