Drama is following Kanye West aka Ye everywhere and now another show has quietly fallen off the calendar. The latest twist? A football club stepping in and saying “not happening.”

Swiss soccer club FC Basel has officially canceled a planned concert featuring Ye, making it clear that the event didn’t match the club’s values. The cancellations are piling up faster than fans can keep track.

FC Basel pulls the plug after “values” review

According to representatives speaking to Reuters, the club carefully reviewed the request before making the final call. The venue, St. Jakob-Park, regularly hosts concerts and large-scale events, so the idea wasn’t unusual. But this time, the answer was no.

The club explained that it received the enquiry and considered the proposal. However, after a detailed review, they decided not to move forward. Their reasoning was direct: they could not provide a platform to the artist “in accordance with our values” within that context.

Poland backlash sparks another cancellation

The Basel decision comes just after another show fell apart in Europe. A planned concert at Slaski Stadium in Chorzów was canceled due to what officials called “formal and legal reasons.” Stadium director Adam Strzyzewski confirmed the decision.

But the bigger noise came from Poland’s culture minister, Marta Cienkoska, who publicly opposed the concert on X. She said hosting the artist was “unacceptable,” referencing controversial past remarks and merchandise.

Postponements, sold-out shows, and denied entry

Earlier this month, Ye himself postponed a planned concert in Marseille after authorities in France reportedly considered banning him. He shared a message saying the delay was his own decision.

He added that he needed time to show sincerity about making amends and didn’t want fans caught in the middle.

Despite the chaos, he did manage two sold-out performances at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. But the momentum didn’t last long. Soon after, he was denied entry to the United Kingdom for a headlining slot at Wireless Festival, which ended up canceled too.
