MP CM congratulates Indian women’s football team
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has congratulated the Indian Women’s Football Team on winning the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship 2026.
Dr Yadav also informed that the state government is observing the Nari Shakti Vandan Pakhwada from April 10 to April 25.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday said that the week would be historic for women’s empowerment, with a three-day special session of Parliament set to begin on April 16. During the session, the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, 2023, which proposes 33% reservation for women, is expected to be taken up for approval.
In an official statement, the Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised the need for 33% representation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies.

Dr Yadav also informed that the state government is observing the Nari Shakti Vandan Pakhwada from April 10 to April 25.

As part of the initiative, large-scale conferences on women’s empowerment will be organised across the state, along with ‘Nari Shakti’ marches at various locations. Colleges throughout Madhya Pradesh will also host a range of events focused on promoting women’s empowerment during this period.
