With a holistic approach to promoting health and well-being of human beings, Patanjali is continuing with transformative innovations in the field of herbal research, aimed at finding solutions to human health and supporting integrated development of skill-based education and training.

The group’s research wing, Patanjali Research Foundation, is evolving as an institution, which it says is one of its kind, is exploring the science of Ayurveda non-stop, moving ahead with advanced findings in the field.

The Drug Discovery and Development Division of the organization identifies compounds from medicinal plants, further transforming traditional Ayurvedic wisdom into standardized, evidence based therapeutics through advanced analytical and pharmacological research.

Similarly, the Herbal Research Division emphasizes exploration, conservation and authentication of the medicinal flora, ensuring quality, sustainability and innovation in herbal formulations.

Interestingly, the Herbarium at the PRF, preserves over 14000 Himalayan and Genetic Flora, safeguarding the county’s botanical heritage.

Moving to the Yoga Research Division, it focuses on studies related to physiological, psychological, and the molecular impacts of the practices in Yoga, demonstrating their role in the prevention of certain diseases, reducing stress, and also the overall well- being, through the measurable scientific outcomes.

The Clinical Research Division of Patanjali conducts clinical, as well as public health studies in a bid to scientifically validate the safety, therapeutic potential of their Ayurvedic medicines in line with the global standards.

Meanwhile, going deeper into the research material regarding the flora, Patanjali has a museum that displays a collection of medicinal plants, paintings, and line diagrams.

One can find a unique collection of colored canvas paintings, black and white line diagrams of medicinal plants that are found all over the world.

The museum showcases 30,500 canvas paintings and 35,100 black & white line diagrams on drawing sheets, and these are based on the World Herbal Encyclopedia.

These meticulously crafted paintings showcase the beauty and intricate details of medicinal plants, while the expertly drawn line illustrations provide precise botanical references for researchers and educators.

The group also offers multiple sectors of healing, including core therapeutic sectors focusing on internal medicine or metabolic disorders etc.

According to the institution, the major diseases addressed by them include Diabetes, Arthritis, Musculoskeletal disorders and others.
