MP minister scotches rumours of fuel crisis

Madhya Pradesh Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Affairs Minister Govind Singh Rajput on Wednesday assured of adequate stock of petrol and diesel in the state and regular supply of fuel.

The Minister noted that on 24 March some rumours had spread about a crisis of fuel in the state resulting in queues outside many petrol pumps and panic buying by consumers. He scotched all such rumours and urged people not to be influenced by them in any manner.

Rajput asserted that officials of oil companies in the state have assured the government that there is no problem in the availability and supply of petrol and diesel hence there would be no hike in the prices of either petrol or diesel.
