Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday flagged off the ‘Viksit
Rajasthan Run’ with the state celebrating accomplished targets on
empowerment of youth in career making and sports, on the second day of
Rajasthan Divas Mahotsav.

Sharma flagged off the three-km run at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in the
vicinity of the state assembly complex here Sunday morning. The run
that concluded at the Ram Niwas Bagh, was participated by a large
number of dignitaries from various walks, youths and sportspersons.

CM himself proactively joined participants in the event running with
them in the race amid cheers from BJP enthusiasts and the spectators.

Similar ceremonial runs were organised in district headquarters and
even smaller cities in the state.

Addressing the gathering at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, Chief Minister
Sharma said that youths, indeed are the future of the nation, hence,
higher priority is being given to serve their interest.

For this cause we, in the government here, have been working on a
number of initiatives that provide youngsters fair opportunity in the
stream of their choice in higher education or making the career as per
the potentials and eligibility in their respective arena, he said.

For this, we have removed all bottlenecks and grey areas from the
administrative system of the previous regime that used to obstruct
aspirants’ attempts in pursuing academic entrance exams and/or the
recruitment tests for government jobs.

Now, the paper leaks exist no more, every aspirant gets even ground in
competition to avail enhanced opportunities for their future making.
Our government’s initiatives do address all needs of youngsters,
including job avenues, scholarships or financial assistance to needy
ones from various strata, and interest free soft loans to enterprising
youths for setting up their own start-up or industry.

In our 2- year regime we have announced numerous openings in
government services. More than one lakh posts have already been filled
up, process for about 1.25 lakh posts has been progressing and around
1 lakh more posts will be filled up through recruitments by the end of
the current year, the chief Minister concluded.

The Rajasthan Day celebrations began on Saturday with state wide
awareness for the Cleanliness by launch of the Swachhta Abhiyan that
was also inaugurated by CM Sharma by sweeping himself courtyard of the
Albert Memorial Hall that Houses the Museum of the Archeological
Department of the state.
