The captain emphasised that the triumph was not just the team’s achievement but the shared dream of millions of cricket lovers across the country.

The final drew massive global attention, recording a peak concurrent viewership of 82.1 crore (821 million) on JioHotstar, while a sea of blue, 86,824 spectators, packed the Narendra Modi Stadium for the summit clash.

“When we win, it is not just our victory. It is the dream of those children who grow up with a bat and ball and dream of playing for the country. It is for the fans who fill stadiums and make them feel like home, and for the millions who support us from their homes,” he added.

Suryakumar also acknowledged the role of fans’ prayers and unconditional love in motivating the players during difficult moments in the tournament.

“Your prayers and unconditional love give us strength. Words are not enough to express our gratitude to all of you. In the end, cricket is not just a game in India; it is an emotion. And this victory is for all of you,” he concluded.

India secured the trophy with a dominant 96-run victory over New Zealand in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. The win made India the first team to claim three T20 World Cup titles and the first to successfully defend the trophy on home soil.

With this triumph, Suryakumar also joined an elite list of Indian captains that includes MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, who have led India to T20 World Cup glory.
